ZX-Uno - Latest EXP core - Help needed

Mensaje por Eratosthenes » 24 Ene 2020, 20:31

Hi there,

having ZX-Unos since 2016 or 2017, I'm somehow experienced with the system.

Spanish-(online-) translation to my native language is pain in the a** to me :(. Because of this here are two question, which may have been asked 4573829457 times in spanish before:
  • 1 Will I run into trouble if I'll update my EsxDOS to 0.87?
  • 2 How can I install EXP27-150919 without bootloops?
@1: As EsxDOS 0.87 has some features I'd like to use I'd like to update it to V0.87.
At the Moment my UNO is running the Spectrum core EXP26-190218 with EsxDOS 0.8.6-DIVMMC.

Will I run into trouble if I'll update to 0.87?

@2: I've added EXP27-150919 ZX-Spectrum Core to my system running with a Core1 @EXP26-190218
When selecting the core EXP27-150919 manually, the system starts up without any trouble.

Selecting it as default by setting it as "Boot" option in the BIOS V0.73, I'm ending up with an endless bootloop.

How can I set EXP27-150919 as my default boot core?

THNX 4 info.

I'm using esxDOS 0.8.7. All works just perfect.

I've installed core as main(same result as 0.8.7 - all fine).
My hardware:
ZX Uno 4.2, +UNO, ZX-Evolution Rev. C+VDac+ZXM-SoundCard Extreme+ZiFi, Harlequin 128K, Reverse U8, Leningrad 48K

Thanks for the info. Today I was brave enough to install the core as main core.
It now works on my system without the bootloop.

Thanks.
