C64 SD Card issue

Mensajepor pinkle » 23 Mar 2017, 10:29

I have been testing out the C64 core in the past couple of days. I have been creating a raw image on an SD card as stated in the release notes for the core, but I have run into a problem where the core does not seem to recognise any disk images after the 36th .d64 file. Any further images added are unrecognised by the core.

Check the .d64 file sizes. They MUST be 174848 bytes long. I guess your 36th file has not the correct size ;)

Thanks for the quick reply. I have checked the .d64 files that I'm using and they're all showing up as the correct size at 174848 bytes in length.
I'm not entirely sure what's going on. Maybe a corrupt SD card block?

maybe incompatible SD card.
Some SD cards works with other cores, but not with C64 or PC/XT cores. Try another brand and type SD card.

Thanks Bakoulis, I will try a different card and see if that helps.

I am almost sure that the SD card is OK. What is the size of the resulting .BIN file? If it is not the sum of all the .d64 files (I guess it is not), something is wrong there. In that case, check the .d64 file names, some characters that are not letters-numbers are not parsed well by the batch program and then the resulting BIN may be messed up. Check also the length of the file names, maybe some one is too long (check all of that around the 36th file...)

Ah, that's solved it.
There was a "!" in one of the file names that was causing that problem. Thanks very much for taking the time out to help!

I'm loving my ZXUno so far, it has replaced a whole bunch of emulators in one tidy package :)

Volver a “C64”
