How a ZX-Uno should look...

Mensaje por Eratosthenes » 03 Mar 2018, 19:48

Hi everybody,

what do you think: How should a ZX-Uno look? - Is it like a "real" ZX Spectrum?!

I've added the board to an "as new" 48k Plus case and I'm happy as if I'm 13 again... :D

Hmmm...

Some people say: "You shouldn't kill a _REAL_ Spectrum for an Uno!"

What do you think? - THNX 4 the info...

P.S.: An "as new" issue 6 Plus board is for sale... :D

Although I'm not a huge fan of the Plus case, I agree that it´s perfect for the UNO, as you don´t have to alter the board to make it fit inside the case. Any pictures of its guts? :)

Hi mcleod_ideafix,

yes. The board fits 100% into the 48k Plus without any changes. This was the reason why I bought it.

The reason why I preferred it against the GO+ was that all the Plus cables match to the board.

P.S.: What do you mean when saying: "Any pictures of its guts?"?

I've added a picture here: viewtopic.php?f=27&t=2014

P.S.: You are right! - The 48k Plus isn't a real Spectrum... :D

Because of this I've put the XL into another case.

Have a look at this (the case was "brandnew" - it's only about 35 years of age...):

Sadly the membrane was gone so I had to put in a new one. As this was a case with the clamps it hasn't been a big thing...
